The difference between an absorber mat and a dirt-trapping mat lies in the focus of the mats. The absorber mat has softer fibres, which absorb moisture quickly and effectively. Dirt-trapping mats have harder fibres. These fibres absorb moisture less quickly, but on the other hand have more of a dirt scraping capacity.
For us, length and width are the same. It does therefor not matter which side you consider to be the length or the width of the mat. For our custom size doormats, there is no difference in look or functionality in length or width. You can therefor also consider the dimension of the mat to be side 1 and side 2.
Do you have a beautiful PVC floor? Then a plasticizer-free* custom doormat is the best choice. More information about this type of product and the possible effect of a doormat on your floor can be found in the category ‘Tips’.
If a mat is ‘less suitable for PVC floors’ this means that the backside of the mat is not fully plasticizer-free. Since PVC floors also contain plasticizers, there is a risk of discoloration under the mat due to a possible reaction between the plasticizers. Why Mattigo
The anti-slip undermat can be used when the mat is placed on a smooth surface. The mat has a standard size of 60x60cm, but can easily be cut to the desired size with scissors.
If the mat is larger than 60x60cm, multiple anti-slip undermats can be used.
Measure the depth and dimensions of the recess to determine the height to be filled. It is possible to stack multiple filler mats on top of each other to get the right height.
