You may not immediately think of it, but with a recessed doormat, the thickness of the doormat is important. It’s not looking too good if your doormat rises out too much above the floor, or lies too low. The latter is very easy to solve by using a custom-made filling mat. You simply place the filling mat under your doormat. Our filling mats are available in 3 thicknesses: 3 millimeters, 6 millimeters and 10 millimeters. Need to tackle a height of 13 millimeters? No problem; then stack a 3 millimeter and 10 millimeter thick filling mat on top of each other. You can order your custom filling mat directly with your new doormat.

The anti-slip undermat can be used when the mat is placed on a smooth surface. The mat has a standard size of 60x60cm, but can easily be cut to the desired size with scissors.
If the mat is larger than 60x60cm, multiple anti-slip undermats can be used.
Measure the depth and dimensions of the recess to determine the height to be filled. It is possible to stack multiple filler mats on top of each other to get the right height.

Use the Mattigo cutting knife to cut out the corner of the threshold or door frame from the mat so that the mat fits perfectly in the space where you have designed it.
