General
Is a filler mat or undermat always necessary under my doormat?
A filler mat is not always necessary. A filler mat is only necessary if the mat is to be placed in a recess in the floor that is deeper than the thickness of the mat you have selected. For example, if you have selected a mat with a thickness of 9 mm, but the recess is 15 mm deep, it is useful to place a filler mat with a thickness of 6 mm under the doormat. This ensures that the transition from the mat to the floor is as small as possible.
Is there a difference between the length and width of the doormats?
You can lay our mats down both lengthwise and widthwise. There is no difference in this.
What is the best way to clean my doormat?
You can easily clean your doormat. Regular vacuuming removes loose dirt. Stains can be removed with lukewarm water and green soap. Some doormats can also be cleaned in the washing machine.
When does my doormat need to be replaced?
It is a good idea to replace your doormat after a while. When this is depends on the quality of your doormat and the intensity with which it is used. Loose fibres and marks from sweeping and walking on the mat are often signs that it is time to replace the doormat.
What is the difference between a doormat and a dirt-trapping mat?
The name of the mats indicates the focus of the product. For dry-walk mats this is drying the soles and for dirt-trapping mats cleaning. In our range we also offer mats that are both excellent for drying and cleaning. By means of the green plus signs we show per product how well the mat is able to absorb dirt and/or moisture.
Can I cut my mat myself?
A doormat can be trimmed yourself, without it fraying. You can easily do this with a sharp cutting knife, which you can order with your doormat. What is a custom-made doormat?
A custom-made doormat is a mat for which both the length and width can be specified. We then cut or produce the mat to the exact dimensions provided. For some products, the final size may differ slightly. If this is the case, it will be clearly stated on the product page. Placing order and payment
I have lost my login details
It can happen of course, but don’t worry! We’ll solve it together. Did you forget your password? Enter ‘forgot password’ on the login page and we’ll send you a link so you can create a new password. You can find your username in the email confirmation we sent you to confirm your account.
What are the benefits of creating an account?
When placing an order, you are not required to create an account, but it does give you a number of advantages:
- Ordering is faster, because the data entered is saved. So data does not have to be entered again.
- You can view your order history in your account.
- You can download your invoice as a PDF document
How do I create an account?
Creating an account is very easy. If this is your first order with us, you can choose to create an account during checkout. For a subsequent order, you log in with the email address you provided and your password.
Can I pay afterwards?
It is possible to pay for your order afterwards with Klarna.
Can I shop safely and reliably at Mattigo.com?
Mattigo.com is registered with WebwinkelKeur and Google Safe Browsing. Both registrations indicate that we are safe and reliable. What should I do if online payment does not work?
How annoying that it did not work. If you are unable to pay online, you can try again after 15 minutes. If the payment still does not work after this time, please contact our customer service. We will look for a solution together with you.
How is the security around my payment arranged?
At Mattigo.com we find it important that you can make your payment safely. That is why we are affiliated with Mollie. This also allows us to offer you various payment methods. You can pay with us via iDEAL (NL), Bancontact (BE), SOFORT Banking, credit card or via bank transfer. You can also pay afterwards with Klarna.
Can I still change my order?
If you have placed an order with us and would like to change it afterwards, this is possible in some cases. Please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our utmost to change your order. If your order has already been shipped, it is unfortunately no longer possible to change the order.
Will I receive a confirmation of my order?
Yes, you will always receive an email confirmation of your order.
Do I need an account to place an order?
No, this is not mandatory. You can place an order without creating an account. However, an account is useful to be able to order faster next time.
Shipping
Will I receive a Track & Trace code for my order?
You can track the shipment of your doormat via the tracking information you receive from the carrier. We work with reliable carriers such as Transmission, DPD and UPS.
What are my shipping costs?
No shipping costs are charged for orders placed through our webshop. We will therefore send your doormat to you free of charge, regardless of the price.
What is the delivery time of my order?
Our mats are normally shipped within 1 to 3 business days. If the delivery time unexpectedly deviates, we will inform you in time.
Returns
Is there a warranty on my doormat?
Warranty and the warranty period are determined in accordance with the law and the General Terms and Conditions of WebwinkelKeur. The warranty period starts from the date of purchase. You can read more about this on the page Warranty.
Can I return my custom or printed doormat?
Even if you ordered a custom-made doormat, it is sometimes possible to return it. Please contact us as soon as possible after receiving your order so we can inform you about the posibilities. If you have a question regarding this before you want to place your order, feel free to contact us!
Can I return my ready-made doormat?
It is possible to return your ready-made doormat. However, this is only possible if you have registered the mat with us in advance via an email. More information can be found on the page return.
